How does online coaching with an AVGS work if I don’t live nearby?
AVGS coaching can take place online by video, so you don’t have to live near your coach. What matters is that your voucher is not limited to your region: ask your caseworker to enter “bundesweit” (nationwide). Sessions usually take place on at least two days a week, and you only start after the written approval.
1. What the voucher should say
- “Einzelcoaching” (one-to-one coaching) as the type of measure
- goal, content and scope of the coaching
- “bundesweit” (nationwide) instead of a restriction to your region
- a validity date before which the coaching starts

2. The process step by step
- Free intro call by video: we clarify your situation, your goal and whether we’re a good fit.
- Ask for the AVGS: you ask your caseworker for the voucher and name me as your coach.
- Pass on the voucher: you send me a photo or scan. The provider presents the original to the Agentur or Jobcenter before the coaching starts; I’ll tell you where to send it.
- Coaching: only after the written approval, online by video, usually on at least two days a week.
- Afterwards: your caseworker usually invites you to a follow-up meeting within four weeks.
3. What you need technically
A laptop or tablet with camera and microphone, a stable internet connection and a quiet place where you can talk undisturbed. There is no travel time, and sessions fit well around job interviews or family.
4. How to recognise a reputable offer
- The measure runs through an AZAV-certified provider.
- Goal, content and dates are clear before the start.
- With an approved AVGS you pay nothing extra.
- Only you can apply for the voucher with your caseworker. A provider cannot do this for you.
