Through an AZAV-certified provider my coaching is AVGS-eligible — I accept AVGS vouchers from the German Federal Employment Agency and Jobcenter. You pay nothing — the funding covers everything. Online, available across Germany, flexible scheduling.
Note: Billing is currently handled through an AZAV-certified partner agency. This means no restrictions for you — quite the opposite: the administrative process is minimal and the funding applies in full, just as it would with a direct provider.
Who is this for?
You have the degree — but the path into industry is unclear. I made this transition myself: from academia into the IT world.
The German job market and work culture are new to you. With intercultural depth and four languages, I can guide you.
You want the next step: senior, lead or product owner. As an agile coach in IT, I know the requirements — and what companies are really looking for.
How it works
Talk to your placement advisor at the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter. Explain your situation — the voucher is issued during that conversation.
30 minutes, free and no obligation — we clarify your situation, goals and whether we are a good fit. I forward the voucher to the billing office.
Strengths analysis, career goals, application documents, interview training — all online. I bill the agency directly. You pay nothing.
Dr. Janosch Leugner
Coaching has been part of my life since 2007 — a passion, not a service. Today I lead international IT teams across Spain, Germany, Vietnam and the UK as an Agile Master — and accompany academics and professionals through career transitions as a systemic coach. I know both worlds first-hand: the academia many of my clients come from, and the industry they are heading into. My approach: I ask questions rather than giving answers.
- Who am I?
- What can I do?
- What do I want?
- How do I get there?
Why Alizee Institute?
I do not give answers — I ask the right questions. This approach brings to light what you already know but cannot yet see. Insights that last, because they come from within you.
Coaching works where behaviour, thinking and feeling intersect. I help make limiting beliefs and communication patterns visible — so they can be changed with intention.
Nearly two decades of coaching experience across very different people — young people, academics, IT leaders, teams. Having lived in France, Spain and Africa, shifting perspective comes naturally.
Ph.D. Sociolinguistics (HU Berlin) — coaching that understands how language, identity and systems actually operate.
Voices from coaching
Janosch has been an exceptional coach and mentor throughout my transition from academia to industry. Navigating the wide range of job titles and roles, many of which were initially unfamiliar to me, felt overwhelming at first. Janosch provided invaluable guidance in helping me understand the landscape and identify opportunities aligned with my strengths and interests. He supported me in translating my academic experience into industry-relevant skills and introduced practical strategies that significantly strengthened my positioning. Beyond that, he empowered me to approach the process with clarity and confidence. Working with Janosch has enabled me to refine my goals, sharpen my vision, and move forward with a clear and actionable direction. I highly recommend him to anyone seeking thoughtful, strategic, and impactful career guidance.
Working with Janosch has been a true turning point for me. When we started, I had just gone through several intense years marked by moving to Germany and learning the language and adapting to a completely different cultural environment — changes that had added an extra layer of complexity to my professional orientation and reshaped both my personal and professional perspective. At that point, I was also trying to make sense of a very diverse professional background and understand what direction to take next.
Janosch helped me reconnect these chapters into a coherent and meaningful trajectory. Through precise and supportive questions, he helped me identify my strengths and growth opportunities exactly where I had previously seen only gaps or missed chances. As a result, I discovered new professional fields that powerfully inspire me and learned a decision-making approach that links my values and long-term aspirations with practical next steps.
What I appreciated most was his patience and his way to return to essential questions, and his ability to guide attention to the deeper layers of motivation. His holistic perspective — seeing me not just through job titles or roles, but as a whole person with values and potential — fundamentally shifted how I approach my career decisions and made the job-search process more grounded and meaningful.
For the first time in a long while, I feel inspired again, and my goals finally seem realistic and relevant. I can warmly recommend working with Janosch to anyone navigating transitions or trying to turn a broad and diverse background into a clear next step.
More clarity, more direction, more self-confidence – wonderful coaching, I can warmly recommend it to anyone! :)
At the start of the coaching I was caught 'between several stools'. I had gathered a lot of different experiences, had many different interests and wasn't really sure in which direction I wanted or should develop. On top of that, I felt that my professional development so far hadn't brought the progress I had hoped for. That is why I finally wanted to steer my career in a clear direction that truly moves me forward.
Janosch helped me a great deal in finding my direction. Without pushing me in any particular direction or prescribing anything, he used targeted questions to spark exactly the thoughts that helped me recognise more clearly what was already inside me.
We started by examining my previous stations, my current situation and my ideas for the future: Where do my strengths lie? What are my interests? Where do I see myself in the future?
Because I had done so many different things, I often felt that I couldn't do anything 'properly'. But Janosch showed me how much I had already achieved and how I can use this versatility purposefully. In doing so, I learned to present my previous experiences more confidently and to name clearly where I want to go professionally.
The coaching helped me develop a concrete picture of my next steps — both regarding the kind of companies I want to work with and the tasks in which I can best apply and further develop my skills.
Frequently asked questions
Am I eligible for AVGS?
In principle, all unemployed people and those at risk of unemployment are entitled to an AVGS — including people on short-time work, in dismissal proceedings or with a termination agreement. Simply ask your placement advisor at the Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter.
How much does coaching cost me?
If you use an AVGS: nothing. The Agentur für Arbeit or Jobcenter covers all costs directly. I bill the authority directly — you pay nothing at all.
How does the intro call work?
The intro call lasts 30 minutes, is free and non-binding. We talk about your current situation and goals, and find out if we are a good fit. There is no obligation — and you don't need to have the AVGS voucher yet.
How does online coaching work?
All sessions take place by video call — no special software needed, just a browser link. You only need a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone. The process is structured but flexibly adapted to your situation.
How long does coaching take?
It depends on your goal. With AVGS, 20–100 units (45 min) are typically possible. Many coachees notice tangible changes after 4–6 sessions. We will discuss what makes sense for you during the intro call.
What is systemic coaching?
Systemic coaching considers people not in isolation, but in their contexts — professional, social, personal. Instead of giving advice, I ask targeted questions that open new perspectives. The insight comes from you — that is what makes it lasting.
Can I be coached without AVGS?
Yes. If you do not receive an AVGS or prefer to pay privately, we can discuss individual terms during the intro call. Feel free to reach out directly.
Ready for the first step?
A free, no-obligation 30-minute intro call — so we can find out together whether we are a good fit.
