How it works

How the coaching works

From the first conversation to the final session: here you can see what to expect, what you need to do yourself and what I take care of.

1. Free initial call

30 minutes, free and with no obligation. We clarify your situation, your goals and whether we are a good fit. I explain how systemic coaching works and what the path to an AVGS looks like. Then you decide in your own time.

2. AVGS from the employment agency or the Jobcenter

You actively approach your caseworker and ask for an Activation and Placement Voucher for one-to-one coaching. The voucher is a discretionary benefit: the caseworker decides. Ask for „Einzelcoaching“ (one-to-one coaching) and „bundesweit“ (nationwide) to be written on the voucher, because the coaching takes place online. A step-by-step guide with sample wording helps you prepare.

3. Pass on the voucher

Send me a photo or scan of the voucher. The provider submits the original to the employment agency or job centre before the coaching starts – I will tell you where to send it. I take care of the AZAV-certified provider; you don't need to find or contact it. We only start after written approval, because costs are not covered retroactively.

4. The coaching

We work online via video, usually on at least two days a week. Typical topics:

  • Strengths analysis and career goals
  • Application documents: CV, cover letter, LinkedIn
  • Application strategy and target companies
  • Interview training, including realistic simulations
  • Salary negotiation

Which of these we work on, and for how long, depends on your goal and the scope of the voucher.

5. After the coaching

After the coaching, your caseworker usually invites you to a follow-up appointment within four weeks. With an approved AVGS, the coaching is completely free for you.

How I work

I work systemically: I ask questions instead of handing you ready-made answers, and I look at you and your environment. Coaching is neither consulting nor therapy. You decide; I support you on the way there.

Could an AVGS be an option for you?

With an approved AVGS, the employment agency or Jobcenter covers the cost in full. Check anonymously in a few minutes whether your chances are good:

Frequently asked questions

How long does the coaching last?

That depends on the voucher. 30 to 60 teaching units of 45 minutes over 8 to 12 weeks is sensible.

Do I have to come to an appointment in person?

No. The coaching takes place entirely online via video, anywhere in Germany.

In which languages is the coaching available?

In German, English, Spanish and French.

What happens if no AVGS is approved?

Then we talk about other options in the initial call. The initial call itself is always free.
